Therapy Process

1) Initial Contact
Please fill out the enquiry form stating your concerns and your availabilities. We will then contact you regarding our availabilities and book your child in for an assessment. You do not require a referral to access speech pathology services

2) Assessment
A thorough initial assessment will determine your child’s strengths and weaknesses. This will allow us to interpret the findings to formulate an appropriate intervention plan. An assessment can be conducted in one session or over two sessions depending on your child’s focus and attention.

3) Therapy goals
The assessment results will be analysed and appropriate therapy goals will be chosen in collaboration with the child's parents/carer.

4) Therapy
Your child will attend therapy. Typically therapy is weekly and lasts 50 minutes. These sessions will involve a range of play based activities.

5) Home Practise
Practising your child's therapy goals at home is crucial to ensure improvement.

6) Review
We typically review your child's progress every 6 to 12 months. Based on results, your child may be discharged or continue with therapy.
